Unlike most sci-fi these days, 21 Islands is packed full of amazing creations, with unique features, attitudes, dangers, etc. None of the vampires and zombies, super sized monsters you can’t see leveling cities, and stupid alien invasions. That kind of sci-fi might be fun for a while, but it quickly grows old, starts to stink, and generally becomes monotonous.
To break the mould, I’ve filled each island in the book with exotic species, scenarios, twists, turns etc.
Oh btw… if you can’t tell, I’m in no writing mood today. Having a bad day – maybe I’ll rewrite this another day.
